Although they were clearly quite busy and no lifts were available at the moment, they managed to work me in for today. This involved taking an Porsche off the lift that was undriveable, and pushing it into a parking space to make way for my car.
It's become more difficult to find a garage run by knowledgeable folks who have a passion for the cars that they work on. It's also hard to find a shop where the owners either directly supervise or work on their customer's cars themselves.
Roger and Monica Bratter are more than fair - as well as honest and experienced.
Great shop. Very knowledgeable and courteous staff. They showed a high degree of respect for my time and money (fast, quality repairs at a reasonable price).
Yesterday I stopped in unannounced to ask if they could find some time to squeeze my Porsche in for a quick inspection on the lift. What I needed would hardly be a money-maker for Auto Therapy.
Roger has years of street and track experience, particularly when it comes to all models of Porsches. He had some excellent insight on what I might want to consider to make my car more track-worthy, and pointed out some legitimate safety concerns that only a track-seasoned tech would recognize.
After the inspection was completed, they had to push the 911 back on to the lift and I was out the door at what I'd call a bargain, considering the time that they took to accommodate my car, and the advice that I got from Roger during the inspection.
Very knowlagable and friendly staff. Roger, the owner, is always able to explain in detail what requires repair and why. He is pricing things fairly and is always s availabe to work on a vehicle in a timely manner. His work is reliable and it leaves me with a safe car in a tip-top shape.
After reading reviews online. My wife and I took her 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo truck to Auto Therapy. Iasked for Roger(Owner), who was sitting at desk. I explained why we were there. As well as, informed him, how impressed I was with the reviews. Driving from Landover,Md. there were closer dealerships or specialist. I could have stopped at. Actually, it was a dealership's questionable work, that brought us to Auto Therapy. After three times, to the dealership. The truck still had the "same" issues. Their total was now over $6,000.00. Of course we knew, it cost more at a dealership. If the truck had been fixed, we would have been okay with that. I'm not including the name of that dealership. However, I am filing a Consumer Affairs complaint against them. Besides, this 5 star review, is for Roger and Auto Therapy. Eventhough, we did not have an appointment. Roger sat, and listened to our concerns, asking was the truck outside. He asked for the keys, and pulled the truck up to his shop. Plugging in a machine to read the faults. In detail, and very professionally. He explained in Layman terms, the issues he found. I'm sure we were there an hour, if not longer. He then, took us back into his office. And showed us diagrams, on his computer. He also, phoned another master mechanic, to get his input. Wow! talk about customer service. I asked Roger, what did I owe for the diagnostic report? He said, don't worry about it. Amazed, I said, " We appreciate everything you've done. But I know this was costly." However, he still would not take any money. Even going as far as, giving us some other suggestions. We thanked him for all his excellent help, and left. About 15 minutes later, driving on 270. My phone rang, it was Roger. Letting me know, the master mechanic had called him back. And what his input was. After thanking him again. Roger said, "Let me know how things work out." I own a 2008 Cadillac DTS and we gave our son the 2013 Honda Civic. We take all our cars to dealerships for maintenance. We have "never" received such excellent, professional, courteous service! As we did at Auto Therapy. And the fact that, he refused to accept any money. Speaks volumes about, his integrity and character. We thank God for people like Roger, the young lady I think was his daughter, and even their Siberian Husky puppy. (That was from my wife, the animal lover.) I generally don't do reviews, due to my typing skills. This one, is well deserved!!! I'm a bus operator for Metro in D.C. I will be referring my co-workers, family, and friends to Auto Therapy. By the way. My wife and I are African-Americans. That's a joke between, Roger and I.
Roger Bratter and his daughter, Monica at Auto Therapy fit the bill. My experiences with Auto Therapy have been nothing but positive.
