Something didn't feel right, and so I called another vet for a second opinion. This other doctor from another practice took time out of his day at no charge to speak with me at great length about his recommendations. He recommended that I bathe BOTH of my cats, even though my other cat has no symptoms. This makes sense, because it helps to prevent back-and-forth transfer of the ringworm spores from cat to cat. I just wish my own veterinarian had taken the same amount of time to instruct me on how to control the ringworm situation at home, knowing I had another cat. I truly believe this was due to her skepticism of my novice Google diagnosis, and likely her inexperience with this type of fungus.

I have recommended this place to friends who have also had good experiences.

I appreciate how nice the staff are, but overall my experience here has been pretty disappointing. I'm not even sure what to do at this point, except look for another vet who is willing to help my cat, and take the time to educate me on how to best stop the spread of a contagious fungus within my home and to my other animals. I spent several hundred dollars on this vet visit, and ultimately the most useful information I got came from another local vet for free and Google. I even found the exact lime sulfur solution they prescribed on Amazon for half the price I was charged. I won't be making that mistake again.

Fantastic help. My cat had been dealing with an eye infection that wasn't clearing up. Muddy Branch Veterinary Center took my last minute request and spent plenty of time talking to me about what was going on and our treatment options. They were great helping calm my cat, and gave me a peace of mind.

I also pointed out a small bald patch above my cat's eyebrow (much smaller than the one on her neck, and with no visible lesions) that I also suspected was ringworm. The doctor disagreed. Still, I felt in my gut, as well as through my own research prior to the visit, that it was indeed ringworm. I got the impression that the doctor wanted to wait for the results before starting treatment, but I said I preferred to start treatment right away before it spreads. They prescribed a very expensive sulfur lime dip solution, told me to read the instructions on the bottle, and sent me on my way.

When it comes to my dogs, I want the best. I'm so glad I found Muddy Branch Veterinary Center. Words cannot express the anguish and panic one feels when a pet is in danger, in pain, or sick. They are helpless, and they rely on us to take care of them and to find them the help they need when we can't provide it. What makes it a bit easier to handle when my dogs are unwell is the knowledge that they receive the best veterinary care at MBVC. Not only are the vets excellent at the medicine, they are compassionate, thoughtful, loving, and patient with pets and owners. Every member of the team has treated my two dogs as though they are his or her dogs. My pups love the people who care for them. I cannot recommend them highly enough. When my sheltie recently pulled out stitches from surgery, the entire team agreed to stay after hours to take care of her. I can feel the genuine commitment to providing excellent care and making pets comfortable that form the heart of this practice. I'm forever grateful.

First time bringing my puppy of 4months there after rescuing him. Not only were the girls up front amazing with him but the Vet himself (Katz) was amazing with him. As well as answerred all my questions. I found the best in my area. Thank you Muddy Branch.

In the end, I didn't need a culture to confirm it was ringworm. My cat definitely has it, and it has spread. And that bald patch over her eyebrow? That has grown in size too, despite the doctor stating with certainty that it was nothing. Part of the reason it is spreading is that it is difficult to get the solution all over her skin. She has very thick fur, and it almost seems to repel water. So this week I contacted Muddy Branch VC to request a grooming service to have my cat shaved. The person I spoke with said they'd have to get approval from the veterinarian (even though it was the veterinarian herself that mentioned the service to me last month) because of a concern that their grooming tools would become contaminated with ringworm. I was promised a call back today, and I never got it. And what if it's not approved? What are my options then if I can't even properly apply the treatment THEY prescribed in the first place?

I have been taking my dog here for years and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. It's easy to get an appointment and the prices are very fair for the service. Most of all, I appreciate that the staff are very real and down-to-earth people. There is no pushing of expensive food, treats, procedures, etc. Just normal people who genuinely have your pet's best interest in mind.

The staff are very friendly, and the prices are about average for services. It is also very easy to schedule an appointment here. However, I have been debating making a switch to another vet, but I am undecided. I brought my cat in last month for a rabies booster, but also pointed out a small bald patch on the back of her neck which I suspected was ringworm. The doctor did not initially concur with my suspicions, despite the obvious signs, but nevertheless recommended a culture (after the bald patch fluoresced under a Wood's Lamp). She said would take about two weeks to come back. A month later and I have still not received an update on the results of the culture that I paid extra for.

I have been taking my cat to this veterinary center for just a year now after moving here from out of state. I chose this place because it was the highest rated one in the area.
