Second, Sam spent over 2.5 hours with me spending Ducati Accessory bucks and getting re-outfitted for sport bike riding; advice was spot on and necessary.
He introduced me to a significant amount of new technology available, considering I'm upgrading from a street bike from 1990, including ABS, traction control, and ride modes, all features that are very appealing. The conversation shifted when I mentioned my mechanical background, at which point Craig took his time to give me a very complete tour of the whole facility! He walked me through the storage garage, the service area, even the dyno room, and introduced me to everyone working as we went along. He showed me his personal bike, a gorgeous and well-kept Triumph nearly 50 years old! It was a truly uplifting experience.
Fantastic customer experience! For those of you experiencing/ embracing a mid-life crisis, and look to trade in your HD Fatboy for a Ducati....this is the place. Sam and I began the conversation via e mail over the Thanksgiving holiday and based off his willingness to discuss options, open and transparent approach, and candor I chose to drive all the way to Gaithersburg to try out Battley vice visiting something a bit closer (Fairfax, VA). I shall return!

Upon walking into Battley, two associates made eye contact with me, instantly conveying a welcoming and attentive atmosphere. Craig, the gentleman that ended up helping me, approached me as I was eyeing the new S1000RR. He immediately gauged my knowledge of motorcycles as a whole, as well as riding, and BMW as a brand. I had initially walked in interested in the RR, however within minutes, we had established that the what I was looking for in a bike, I was going to find in the S1000R, not the S1000RR.

I am a new rider, shopping for my first helmet. I've been to four stores by now, this being my fifth. This is the first and only store to have had someone greet me and assist me with my purchase. The staff was knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and patient - they spent a lot of time with me, answered all of my questions, and gave me full peace of mind for my purchase. Great group of people working at this store and a good community. Worth every penny and worth my time.
All in all, I left with a fantastic experience, a significant amount of new information, and my sales person could not have done a more rounded and thorough job sharing his knowledge.
This is a great place. I've been riding for many years and been to countless service/dealerships along the way and Battley deserves the 5 stars. Being treated as an equal goes a long way. I currently service my Ducati here, and everything from setting up an appointment to pick-up is a breeze. Conway, Ron, and Matt are all charming and helpful with my tricky bike, and the quotes have always been reasonable, direct and accurate come pay time. Craig Roberts in BMW Sales gets a big shout out as I am about to buy my G 310 GS, 2nd Beemer from him as I'd go nowhere else in the world for a funnier and more amicable guy to buy a motorcycle from. When we finished up the tour, we sat back down at Craig's desk and went over the whole bike on paper; features, specs, options, initial cost, as well as test ride and financing information. I asked him for his personal opinion on my decision and he gave me his no-nonsense input. At this point, I was asked if I wanted a follow-up email containing an out-the-door price to my dream bike. I agreed and as we began the walk to the front door, Craig made a point of showing me just one more bike, BMW's latest thing, the G310, in case I was interested in considering something that wasn't what I came in looking for.

Third, Sam personally spent additional time ensuring the bike was detailed and full of gas ready for me to ride. He was very detailed and patient walking me through the controls and subtleties of an Italian sport bike; after 20 years of HD I need the guidance.
