This will definitely be my last visit to splash and dash Gaithersburg, I will gladly take my $123 grooming fees to another location where they will be happy to take care of my babies for an additional few hours if needed. Keep in mind that according to the company name splash and dash means in and out like a drive thru fast food chain. Don't expect any additional care for your pets from this location. Use with caution!
I love this place. My dogs name is PRINCE, and he looks like a PRINCE when they finish grooming him. The staff is great!
Great service, staff is very nice. Aside from the grooming services, they also have a nice selection of accessories and treats, with good prices.
The important factor about any pet care center is that your pet has to like it, and our Dorothy loves it! Wanda (the owner) runs a tight organization; the place is immaculate, smells great, and appointments & pickup times are always honored. The groomers do a wonderful job, and caught an early sign of an ear infection, before Dorothy would have likely complained. Wonderful pepole, alot of toys and treats, and constant discounts for returning clients.
So upon picking up our pets around 2:30 pm, the estimated cut time was 3 hours or so and we were in a meeting from 12-2 so we missed 2 calls and texts from Wanda/splash and dash groomerie. Upon entering the store, we apologized immediately but Wanda didn't even reply or look at us. Wanda then informed us with a very stern and unhappy tone that there is a late fee when we pass the one hour grace period but it will be waived this time. She informed us that this is not a daycare and they do not walk dogs or relieve them with a company policy of 1 hour late grace period for pickup.
They always do a great job with my dog, even though she has separation anxiety.
We also discover that our German shepherd had a cut in her mouth and the reasoning behind it according to Wanda was due to a muzzle placed on the snout due to barking or from the cage since we had them there. So it's unclear how long the muzzle was on my baby to cause her bleeding from the gums.
Had a horrible experience today with Wanda the owner after being a loyal customer to this location for the past 15 months or so. We brought our dogs in around 9 am for 9:30 appointment, better early than late right? But for some reason we were not greeted with the usual enthusiasm and energetic welcome in the morning.
They keep muzzle on your dog!!! Be caution!!!!
I Understand there is a scheduled pickup window after the grooming but we also ran into a situation in the past where the pickup was delayed by 2-3 hours when they were busy and never got a warning or notice or any grace period when that happens.
