It is convenient to have MVA office here to get things done . It is tough to get Maryland Driver license now. You need citizen proof and social security W2 in addition to other papers.
9/21/17 - I arrived at exactly 10am to find about 20 people in the Information line and about 6 people waiting in chairs. After only 10min or so, a clerk walked the line to direct people what to have ready or to go to the kiosk for service. The kiosk screen was fairly intuitive and there was an assistant there as well. The keypad and system were not entirely user friendly and it didn't like my entries after two tries, so the assistant scanned my registration card which it accepted. It scans checks and credit cards to expedite the process. Altogether, my belated re-registration of my car took a total of 25 minutes in and out. Staff was friendly and professional. The entire experience was far better than any I have had from past visits to the main MVA office in G'burg.
I paid for my registration and tag renewal online only never to receive either in the mail. Time goes by, and when I arrive at this location for the tags that I had already paid for I am expected to pay again because I was past 30 days on top of the ticket I received for expired tags. Incredible.
This place is great relative to twenty years ago. They've really refined the processes by which drivers needs to feel out their paperwork to take care of automotive needs. I expected getting new license from here to be a half day affair when we moved back to Maryland. Instead, we invested perhaps slightly more than an hour to resolve our needs. Now, it would be great to get these sort of things completely resolved online, but still very impressed with the progress that the MVA has made over the years. If only they had some real food options here...
I had a great experience at this location. I arrived at 8:28 and there was a line. A nice gentleman was already outside helping waiting customers. When the doors opened 2 minutes later, we were greeted with friendly hellos and good mornings!! I was there to renew my license. Job quickly completed! I walked out at 8:40am...12 minutes after I arrived. It put me in a great mood, and highly recommend this location.
