my experience is that in order for people to stay quiet. The Library should put a sign everywhere which says no talking or quiet please, that way people can study without any pressure or anger
Not as big or fancy like the new libraries in Germantown and Gaitherburg. But it is close and cozy with friendly staff. It is easier to find and hold stuff online anyway. What's not to like?
Not super fancy but it is garunteed to have the book you need
I have been going there daily for about 6 months and have run into no problems. They have a charging stations for phones where you put your phone into a locker, type in a 4 digit code and lock it. Now, when you are typing in the code, it is very easy to mistype a number because of how flat the keys are so I assumed that they had a key just in case somebody either forgets their code or mistypes it while locking it. I have been using the charging station for about a week and have been using the same 4 digit code each type. Today, I messed up my code while I was locking it without realizing at the moment but once I realized while I was trying to open it, I couldnt. So, I asked if there was a way that they could open it for me. The African American man behind the check out counter who I later got told was the supervisor, told me to keep retyping my code in a very annoyed way. No matter how much I tried I could not open it. So I asked if there was a key because I had heard a key mentioned between the staff earlier. The man said that the man who had access to the key was not here and he might be tomorrow also in a very mean way while telling me to leave him alone for a second. Then while I kept trying for a few more minutes I opened it with a completely different code. I was relieved and didn't care about the poor treatment until he had started making fun of me and telling me to write it on a piece of paper next time. Since I have been going here for years now, I was very disappointed to be treated this way.
Great collection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, and audio books. Wi-fi accessible. Very friendly staff.
